Cost: $100. (Includes $80 required office evaluation + $20 to complete the test.) Results usually available in 15 minutes.
Cost: $250. Each Rapid PCR Test takes 30 minutes for results.
(Example: 2 tests = 60 minutes.)
BraVa Health offers daily COVID-19 testing at our office in Murrells Inlet. Testing is available on-demand for walk-in patients and also by appointment. We offer Rapid Antigen tests, Rapid PCR tests, and traditional lab PCR (“slow”) coronavirus testing. Rapid test results are available same-day, within 15 to 30 minutes. Lab-based PCR test results are usually available within 2-3 days. If you are unsure which test to get, our nurse practitioners will help you choose the right test for your needs.

If you’re showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, it might be time to get tested – even if you’re fully vaccinated.
People who are traveling soon may need proof of a negative test prior to their trip. Employers, schools, or sports teams may also require a negative test to resume normal in-person activity.

COVID-19 symptoms usually appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms ranging from mild to severe:

Rapid Antigen Test
This test is done with a nasal swab and looks for protein fragments (antigens) from the virus. Rapid Antigen tests are most accurate in people with symptoms of an active COVID-19 infection. Results are usually available in as little as 15 minutes.
Rapid PCR Test
PCR tests (also called molecular or viral RNA tests) are also completed with a nasal swab. This type of test looks for genetic material that comes only from the virus. PCR tests are very accurate in determining infection status. They can detect traces of the virus within days of being infected, even when there are no symptoms. The turnaround time for each Rapid PCR test is 30 minutes per test.
PCR Test
Traditional PCR testing involves collecting a sample and sending it to a lab for analysis. This type of test is extremely accurate, with fewer false negatives than antigen tests. False positives from lab PCR tests are virtually nonexistent. Turnaround is generally 2-3 days, but results can be available in as little as 24 hours.
